Amanda Slade has a major crush on her sexy art professor and wants his help with an important extracurricular activity: Project VirgEnd.
Professor Jem Nichols knows falling for his beautiful student is a bad idea but he just can’t say goodbye as the semester ends. But the professor refuses to hastily take her virtue. Instead, he wants to slowly teach her the most important lessons of lovemaking. As she experiences first-time pleasures and passions, love blooms.
By the time they’re done, he’ll know every inch of her body. But as her deadline for deflowerment looms, will the professor be the one to take Amanda all the way? This is a sweet yet steamy love story.

Excerpt:

Amanda’s First Experience with an Art Model

By A.C. Rose ©2017

I was in the front row of the class in my usual seat, when a gorgeous, robed man walked into the art classroom, stood on a small platform, untied the sash to his robe and let it fall on the floor. He was naked.

Turning to take an innocent glance at the model, I nearly gasped out loud when I found myself eyeball to eyeball with his penis. He seemed so unashamed, so unaffected, as he stood there gazing out at all who studied his naked form.

I looked at my friend Tara and she looked at me. It was the tenth week of the semester in our Basic Art course, but we had no clue what was going on until the professor stepped in front of the room.

“Today we’ll be working with a live nude model so we can learn to translate the human form to paper,” he announced. “We’ll be working with charcoal, so remember, we’re looking for the essence of the human body—the shape, not details.”

With that, Professor Jem Nichols passed around the box of charcoal crayons and handed out huge sheets of drawing paper. As he got closer to me, a rush of warmth flowed through my body and ended in a nervous tingle in my stomach.

Maybe it was wishful thinking, but when he reached my desk to distribute the supplies, I could swear his hand lingered an extra moment near mine as I claimed my two pieces of charcoal from the box. And that he looked at me a certain way.

When he moved on to the next student, I breathed a sigh of relief, only because I worried my physical reactions to his presence would reveal I had a crush—a big one—on my teacher.

Why I Wrote A Book About A Virgin Student and a Hot Professor

By A.C. Rose

As some of you already know, I tend to write romance books that are based on real life experience. And I must admit that I once fell for my professor, and that steamy love story gave me inspiration for my sweet and steamy romance book, STAY AFTER CLASS.

i'm a virgin white

And yes, he was super hot. And the fact that HE wanted ME was just about the coolest thing ever. I felt wanted and chosen. I felt adult.  But most significantly, he truly did teach me about making love. He pushed me to open up, become the woman I was meant to be.

I was younger and he was older. Even though I was of age, it was the sweetest taboo of it all. He was single but it had no place to go at the time because I still had a lotta livin’ to do.

I recently looked at a photo of young me as a college student at that time and I could not believe how young I looked. So innocent looking, I almost could not believe I was sexing it up with my hot professor after class and on weekends.

Suddenly I thought, maybe he was a little inappropriate in sweeping me off my feet but then I remembered, I was kind of an old soul, and we were like super magnets, attracted to each other so hard.

I was no virgin. But I still had a lot to learn at that age.

I have not been a virgin for a really — really, really — long time.

And therein was the challenge that inspired me to create Amanda Slade. She’s innocent and inexperienced, and a little slow about sex stuff and men stuff, but I was there once.

She’s truly learning it all as she goes along. But she has an awesome teacher, willing to spend time on lessons in lovemaking.

This character took me all the way back to my first kiss. And my first bj. And my first everything. And all the awkward girly feelings that came with it.

I made Amanda 21 going on 22 and someone who uses her noggin to make decisions. And I made Jem so delicious that it made me want to go back to college.

And I gave them a happy ending. Maybe it was the happy ending I wished for at the time.

So here’s to the young virgins in us all. Our youthful, innocent selves, landing the hottest guy at school, who teaches us all about love.

Hope you enjoy my tale of the virgin and the professor. And hope you feel 21 again!

Thanks for reading!

Deborah Wilde Chats About ‘The Unlikeable Demon Hunter’

Interview by A.C. Rose

Deborah Wild Author photo

A global wanderer, hopeless romantic, and total cynic with a broken edit button, Deborah Wilde writes adult urban fantasy romance to satisfy her craving for smexy love stories and tales of chicks who kick ass. Her debut novel The Unlikeable Demon Hunter is described as Bridesmaids meets Buffy. She is all about the happily-ever-after, with a huge dose of hilarity along the way.  Her latest book is The Unlikeable Demon Hunter. She describes it as “Bridesmaids meets Buffy with a dash of the seven deadly sins.”
We chatted with Deborah about her new book, her appreciation of strong women and smexy (smart + sexy) men, and the truth about Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Your heroine is a strong, kick ass woman. Did your inspiration for Nava come from anyone you know? Or anyone we know?

Nava is me when I turn off my edit button. She’s snarky, self-defensive, and has carefully cultivated her hot mess status. This is a girl seriously in denial about the emotional baggage she’s carrying around from a couple of major life upsets. We share a love of tap dancing, smexy men, and craving our own happily-ever-after, which I have. Yay!

When I created Nava, I really wanted to play with what being an “unlikeable” female meant because I believe that even fictional women are held to a different standard than fictional men, especially around sexuality. And I also brought a lot of my issues around the sexism inherent in the Jewish religion (mine) to it. So yeah, Nava and her story are very personal to me in different ways.

What makes you fall in love with a hero when you are writing?

Well, I like them alpha and cocky, though issue laden, but they have to totally respect the woman and not get chauvinist. I’m not a fan of the guy being a douchebag. Also, they need to be funny. Funny is super important. As is knowing their way around a woman’s body.

So with my current hero, Rohan, he fights Nava for control in every aspect of their relationship, but he only does so because he knows she can stand toe-to-toe with him. He also has her back so completely and, because of his belief in her, he pushes her to grow as a person in a way that no one else does. He’s a California boy of East Indian/Jewish heritage who was a former mega rock star, and he loves his mother. *insert awwww*

Tell us a little bit about your newest book.

The Unlikeable Demon Hunter is the first book in my new urban fantasy series. It’s the age-old story of what happens when a foul-mouthed, romance-impaired heroine with no edit button and a predilection for hot sex is faced with her worst nightmare–a purpose. I describe it as Bridesmaids meets Buffy with a dash of the seven deadly sins.

Can you share the titles and reading order of your new series?

Book 1: The Unlikeable Demon Hunter

1.5: Slay (a short story)

2: The Unlikeable Demon Hunter: Sting

2.5: Crush (a short story)

3: The Unlikeable Demon Hunter: Need

And then 3 other planned books in the series so far.
What is your favorite genre to read?

Romance, fantasy, sci-fi-mystery, some lit fic, though less than I used to read. A good story is a good story so I don’t discriminate but there is a ton of romance or romance cross-genre that I read.
Where does the magic happen? Do you write in a home office or on the road, or both?

Mostly I write in a home office, though if I travel I’ll take my iPad and get up early to write or write on a plane. When I’m possessed and deep into the story, I don’t care where I write. Just don’t make me stop.
Why do you think romances are good for readers?

Because love is good for readers and the journey of falling in love is so much fun.
Since you hail from Canada have you ever seen the prime minister up close? Is he as cute as he looks?

I haven’t though I have friends who have and they tell me he’s extremely skinny when you meet him face to face. Sorry if that’s disillusioning anyone.

Thank you so much for letting me chat with you!

The age-old story of what happens when a foul-mouthed, romance-impaired heroine with no edit button and a predilection for hot sex is faced with her worst nightmare–a purpose.

Ari Katz is intelligent, driven, and will make an excellent demon hunter once initiated into the Brotherhood of David. However, this book is about his twin Nava: a smart-ass, self-cultivated hot mess, who is thrilled her brother is stuck with all the chosen one crap.

When Nava half-drunkenly interrupts Ari’s induction ceremony, she expects to be chastised. What she doesn’t expect is to take her brother’s place among the–until now–all-male demon hunters. Even worse? Her infuriating leader is former rock star Rohan Mitra.

Too bad Rohan’s exactly what Nava’s always wanted: the perfect bad boy fling with no strings attached, because he may also be the one to bring down her carefully erected emotional shields. That’s as dangerous as all the evil fiends vying for the bragging rights of killing the only female ever chosen for Demon Club.

Odds of survival: eh.
Odds of having a very good time with Rohan before she bites it: much better.
